Signs it’s time

When a website starts holding you back

A website can work against you long before it stops working altogether. These are the problems we see most often.

01

It looks out of date

First impressions count. An old design can make a good business look less established than it is.

02

It’s awkward on phones

Text that’s hard to read, buttons that are hard to tap and layouts that jump around make people leave.

03

It’s slow to load

Heavy pages and oversized images test visitors’ patience, especially on mobile data.

04

It doesn’t say enough

Vague or thin pages make it hard for customers, and search engines, to understand what you do and where.

05

It’s hard to get in touch

Missing calls to action, long forms or buried contact details cost you enquiries.

06

It no longer fits your business

New services, a new direction or a refreshed brand that your website doesn’t reflect.

The best place to start

Start with a £99 site audit

Before you commit to a redesign, find out exactly what’s holding your current website back: speed, Google visibility, mobile, forms, security basics and policies.

  • Your whole website reviewed
  • Prioritised fixes within 2 working days
  • One-off payment of £99
Book a site audit for only £99

If you go ahead with a redesign, the audit findings shape the plan for your new website.

Website redesign cost

What a redesign costs, and why

A redesign is priced like a new website, because it usually is one. Our packages start from £1,000, and the final price is agreed before work begins.

Number of pages

A focused single-page site starts from £1,000 with our Essential package. Multi-page sites that present several services start from £2,500 with our Business package.

How much content changes

Keeping and tidying your existing words costs less than planning and rewriting every page. We review your content first and agree what changes.

Features and integrations

Booking systems, shops, member areas and connections to other tools add time. Projects like these are quoted as Bespoke, to your requirements.

Protecting your search presence

Mapping old pages to new ones and setting up redirects is part of the job, so the work you have already done in Google is not thrown away.

Questions

Good to know

How do I know if my website needs a redesign?

Common signs are a site that looks dated, is awkward on phones, loads slowly, is hard to update or no longer reflects what you offer. Our guide to 7 signs your business website needs a redesign covers the main ones.

Should I redesign or just fix my current website?

It depends on what is holding it back. A £99 site audit reviews your whole website and gives you prioritised recommendations within 2 working days, so you can see whether targeted fixes are enough.

How much does a website redesign cost?

A redesign is priced like a new website: Essential single-page websites from £1,000, Business multi-page websites from £2,500, and Bespoke projects by quote. Final pricing is agreed before work begins.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

A redesign changes pages, so it needs care. We plan the new page structure against your existing pages and set up redirects for addresses that change, to protect what already works. Search positions cannot be guaranteed.

How long does a website redesign take?

It depends on the size of the site, how much content is changing and how quickly feedback comes back. We agree the timeline in your proposal before work starts, and plan the switchover so your current website stays live until the new one is ready.

Do I need a new domain or new hosting?

Usually not. Most redesigns keep your existing domain name. If moving hosting would help speed or reliability, we explain why and what it involves before anything changes.

Can you keep my existing content?

Yes. We review what you have, keep what works and improve or replace what doesn’t. You approve the content before launch.

Who owns the website when it’s finished?

You do. Once the amounts due for your project have been paid, we assign to you the copyright we own in the bespoke design and code created for it. Third-party software, fonts and stock images stay under their own licences. Full details are in our terms.

Can you help after the redesign?

Yes. Launch support is included, optional ongoing support and updates start from £99 per month, and optional SEO starts from £500 per month with a Web Builder Agency website.
